Founded in 2011 through the merger of three German development organisations, GIZ is the federal enterprise for international cooperation, working mainly for the German government and the European Union. It has operated in Tunisia since 1970 and has run a country office in Tunis since 1999, delivering projects on sustainable economic development, employment, social cohesion, local governance, water and the energy transition.
