HCI Community Meetup 2.0 – A Powerful Discussion on Health Data & Compliance

The second edition of the HCI Community Meetup brought together HealthCare Innovation community members, data experts, startup founders, project managers, and emerging talents for a dynamic exchange on the future of health data governance in North Africa and beyond.

The event created a collaborative space to address compliance, security, interoperability, and ethical data use—key pillars for building trusted and innovation-ready digital health ecosystems.

ServeSenior Workshop – Co-Designing a Digital Companion for Seniors and Caregivers

On 29 November 2025, HealthCare Innovation hosted an interactive workshop dedicated to ServeSenior, a new digital companion designed for seniors and their caregivers.

The objective of the session was to co-design a human-centered solution that supports autonomy, well-being, and daily life for older adults while reducing the burden on caregivers.

Presentation of the ServeSenior vision and core features, including monitoring, daily support, stimulation, and education modules
Showcase of an early prototype and live collection of participant feedback
Discussion of real-life needs of seniors, family caregivers, and healthcare professionals
Exploration of how digital tools can complement home visits, community services, and clinical follow-up

A Co-Design Approach to Ageing Well

ServeSenior is being developed through a collaborative co-design methodology, ensuring that seniors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals actively shape the platform’s evolution.

The insights gathered during this first workshop will guide the next iterations of the application, strengthening usability, accessibility, and real-world relevance.
