What the Program Offered and Who Supported It

The Bio & Tech Program was led by the Association Jeunes Leaders as part of the DEAL project, and integrated into the Flywheel program by Startup Tunisia. It received support from Smart Capital, the World Bank, GIZ Tunisia, and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) Tunisia.

Highlights from the Demo Day

A Demo Day at FMM, co‑hosted with HealthCare Innovation (HCI), gave startups the opportunity to present projects to health experts and industry leaders. It was a key moment to pitch ideas, get feedback, and make connections.

  • DENTAMEET: A tele‑dentistry and online training platform to improve access to dental care.
  • HEALTHBOX: A device and app to support smoking cessation.

Learning About Medical Device Standards

The program included a three‑day workshop on ISO 13485:2016 medical device standards. The training, led by Dr. Amel Chaherli, covered key quality and safety requirements. This collaboration between Bio & Tech, HCI, and FMM equipped startups with the knowledge to navigate complex regulations.
